Italy Prepared to Support Prospective Agreement Between Libyans.

Rome, 26 August 2015(Lana) The Italian Governemnt has renewed its
commitment to support a prospective agreement to form a consensus
government in Libya.
In his comment on an announcement by the UN Support Mission in
Libya of resumption of Libyan talks in the Moroccan city of Skhirat,
the Italian Foreign Minister Paolo Gentelone told the Italian
newspaper Corierre Dela Sera, 'it was up to the Libyan parties to
reach an agreement, at the time being we are engaged in talking with
all parties.'
The head of the Italian diplomacy said the UN Envoy to Libya
would submit a final proposal in the coming days, accompanied with
annexes of formation of the Libyan national unity government.
' In the event that an agreement was reached, Italy not alone,
would confirm be ready to play the role of an assistant and supporter
of the national consensus government, and to reinforce it as far as
the security issue is concerned, he said.'
