Italy hints for a UN role in Libya after forming a national unity government.

Rome, 24.08.2015 - (Lana) - The Italian defense minister 'Roberta
Pinotti' , hinted that there will be a possible UN intervention in
Libya with the Libyans' approval , after forming a national unity
government.
The defense minister , in an interview with a local newspaper on
Monday , called on focusing all efforts on Libya as its 'essential' ,
on 'stopping migration flow' , and 'to confront Da'esh organization
and terrorism'.
"We are forced to start from Libya , that after more than a year of
efforts to unite the Libyans through discussions under the UN
auspices , the UN envoy 'Bernardino Leo' has reached the last
decisive mile of the huge marathon to achieve balance" , the Italian
official said.
The Italian defense minister expected to reach a comprehensive Libyan
political agreement within a week , asserting on the historical ,
cultural and economic ties between Rome and Tripoli.
She added , that its natural to think that Italy will be in the lead
" of the upcoming UN efforts in the Libyan affairs.
