First founding meeting to issue South Studies Magazine.

Tripoli, 18.08.2015(Lana) The first founding meeting was held Tuesday in Tripoli at the Centre for the Studies and Researches of Southern Libya to issue a quarterly magazine called South Studies Magazine. The meeting attended by editor in chief and editorial board of the new magazine covered identifying the general goals of the scientific magazine in line with the goals of the centre namely preparing studies and research, publishing of scientific papers related to the south of Libya based on sophisticated technologies', public opinion survey, besides communications with similar centres at Arab, regional and international levels. The meeting also addressed objectives of the magazine such as encouraging researches and investing on scientific potentials to the benefit of the south area, and contribute in support of development plans at national level, and promote various activities in southern Libya such as introducing the demographic composition in the south, preparing cultural programmes, and workshops to learn about the reality of southern Libya, its political, security, economic, and social situation with a view to lay down plans to develop the area in general. The meeting also addressed the administrative organization of the magazine for its final approval and lay down annual work plans of the magazine., and criteria to be used to judge research from scientific perspective as well as technical and form aspects of the magazine The editorial board of the magazine approved the general guidelines to embark on issuing of the quarterly magazine by releasing four editions annually. =Lana=
