General Staff of armed forces regret the tragic sank of the ferry carrying several people displaced from Benghazi.

Tripoli, 16.08.2015(Lana) General Staff of the armed forces
expressed regrets at the tragic cupsize of the ferry carrying
several people displaced from Benghazi, Saturday. 12 people fell
martyrs including 6 children and two others are unaccounted for.
The General Staff offered its condolences to the families of the
victims and the people of Benghazi and hold those who closed the road
and the airport in Benghazi responsible.
The statement condemned the utter silence at home and abroad over
the destruction, killing and population expulsion taking place in
Benghazi, calling on the UN and humanitarian organizations to carry
out their duties towards the people of Benghazi.
The General Staff attributed the sinking of the ferry to inability
of the coast guard to rescue all passengers on board the ill-fated
boat. It called on local and international relevant authorities to
provide the required resources to prevent the repetition of such
tragedies.
