dialogue began today Tuesday in Geneva under the supervision of the
UNSMIL, and led by Bernardino Leon.
The session, which was postponed from yesterday to today, is
being held in the dialogue team of the GNC, which emphasized during
the previous session in Algeria that it accepts the return to the
dialogue opposite to taking into consideration its observation made
concerning the draft agreement.
The head of the GNC dialogue team, Saleh Al-Makhzoum, emphasized
that the UN responded to the request of the GNC during the recent
session, which is to find a mechanism that enables the Congress to
present its amendments to the draft agreement.
Al-Makhzoum said, in a press conference on Tuesday before
departing to Geneva to resume the rounds of the political dialogue,
that the GNC is keen on finding a peaceful solution where there would
be a political balance that helps improve the security and economic
