Former Tunisian Premier defend decision to hand over Al-Baghdaid Al-Mahmoudi to Libyan authorities 2012.

Al-Jbali, defended his decision to handover Al-Baghdaid Al-Mahmoudi
to the Libyan authorities in 2012.
Tunisian news agency quoted Al-Jbali as saying "I take full
responsibility as a statesman and from my constitutional duties and
my solidarity with the Libyan revolution, the decision to handover
the former Libyan prime minister, Al-Baghdadi Al-Mahmoudi.
Al-Jbali indicated that the handover decision was taken by
Tuisian judiciary and approved by the government, which was headed by
the Al-Baji Qaed Al-Sibsi, this was in response to a request by the
Libyan government that was united at the time and with a Libyan
judicial permission.
He clarified that the decision was based on international
treaties and what he described as unquestionable crimes committed
against the Libyan people, and said a commission comprised from
representatives of the prime ministry and presidency, the civil
society and the Amnesty International was created to for this purpose
and approved the decision.
