Tripoli Appeals Court Delivers Verdicts and Sentences Against Former Regime Loyalists.

Tripoli, 28 July 2105(Lana) After months of hearings, the Tripoli
Appeals Court on Tuesday issued its verdicts and sentences against a
number of defendants, loyalists of the former regime for their role
in suppressing the Feb 17 Revolution in 2011.
The sentences included death by firing squad, life imprisonment,
other sentences and acquittals.
The Court sentenced defendants Seif Gaddafi, Abdullah Al Senussi,
Al Baghdadi Al Mahmoudi, Abu Zaid Dorda, Milad Daman, Mansour Dhaw,
Munder Al Ghanemi, Abdul Hamid Ammar Ouheida, and Oudeit Ghandour Al
Noubi to be executed by firing squad.
It condemned the ninth defendant Husni Al Wuheishi, the 12th
defendant Amer faraj Al Dleiaw, the 13th Radawan Al Hadi Ali Al
Hamali, the 14th Bashir Ali Hmeidan, the 18th Mohamed Abu Bakr Al
Deib, the 19th Al Mabrouk Massoud, the 21st Omran Al Furjani and the
30th Mohamed Dhaw Al Hanashi for charges leveled against them and
sentenced them to live imprisonment, and total deprivation of civil
rights, and to fine the 14th defendant LD32000, and the 18th LD
50000, for squandering of public money in accordance with the amount
set in the expert report No. 80 for 2012 which amounted to LD 10
million.
The Court also condemned 7th defendant Mohamed Al Zwei, the 8th
Mohamed Al Sherif, the 16th Gibrael Abdul Karim Al Kadiki, the 24th
Ali Hmeida Al Sharif, the 25th Abdullah Abu Al Gasem Al Sha'alali,
the 26th Mohsen Al Lamouji, the 29th Saeed Al Ghiryani for the
charges leveled against them and sentenced each to 12 years in prison
and total deprivation of civil rights, and to fine the 8th defendant
LD50000 for squandering of public money, in accordance with the
amount set in the expert report No. 80 for 2012 which amounted to LD
1,600,000 million.
