Minister of Electricity: Power disruption due halt of energy projects and delay of regular maintenance.

Salem attributed power disruption to security situation, halt of
energy production projects, damages to generation stations and power
lines in various parts of the country and delay of regular
maintenance.
At a press conference Sunday in Tripoli, the Minister explained
that the national grid is experiencing extraordinary situation
including delay in maintenance work of generation units and halt of
strategic projects due to departure of implementing companies and
decline to come back.
The minister also said that the Electricity Company was not able
to install small power stations due to lack of funds and security
developments, putting the company in a precarious situation leading
to large deficit in energy production and increased levels of
shedding of load to preserve the stability of the national grid.
He also attributed increased shedding of load in east and west
of the country to increased humidity in atmosphere and lack of
regular maintenance and cleaning of insulators and energy transfer
equipment due to destruction caused by war in various parts of the
country.
