Libya Olympic Committee celebrates World Olympic day.

Tripoli, 23.07.2015(Lana) The Libyan Olympic Committee celebrated Thursday the World Olympic day which coincides with July 23 of every year since its foundation in 1894. All state of the world under the umbrella of the International Olympic Committee celebrated this year anniversary entitled; " Excellence, Friendship, Respect and Discovery". Libyan Olympic Committee marked Thursday the Olympic Day at Tripoli Municipal Beach "Sinda bad" by hosting beach games . The games held evening time, are football, volley ball, wrestling, tennse and Karata shows. Head of the Libyan Olympic Committee, Jamal Al-Zarouq welcomed at the opening speech the participants and declared the celebrations opened which included various games. Prizes were awarded to the winners of all games and shields were given to Najma beach, Tripoli University, Naousi battalion, and certificates were awarded to media reporters including Lana news agency for contributing to the success of the festivity. The celebration was attended by head and members of the Olympic committee, head of sports club, veterans and many sports figures. Libyan national teams which are preparing to take part in the Mediterranean games, due next month in Italy, took- part in the festival . =Lana=
