National Human Rights Commission Appeals to Conflicting Parties in Sebha to Stop Fighting.

Tripoli, 20 July 2015(Lana) The National Human Rights Commission
has appealed to the rival parties in the southern city of Sebha to
stop fighting, and open corridors for the Libyan Red Crescent Society
to deliver humanitarian relief, and evacuate the injured and
civilians trapped in the conflict areas.
In a statement on its website, the Commission expressed deep
concern over the escalation of hostilities and ethnic violence
between Tabou and Tuareg tribes in Al Tyouri neighborhood in the
city, in which small and medium arms were used.
The statement said more than 20 were killed and 30 wounded in the
clashes according to latest medical figures. Rockets also fell on
Homes of civilians in Al Thanawiyah neighborhood, causing more than
200 families to flee, it added.
The Commission warned the warring factions against continuing
targeting of civilians and said they would be held responsible for
the victims, and also called for an immediate ceasefire and cessation
of tribal clashes in Sebha.
