Leon: Over half of Benghazi population forced to flee.

Tripoli, 15.07.2015(Lana) Head of United Nations Support Mission in Libya (UNSMIL), Bernardino Leon said; "Libya is in a critical position and that the only way out is by continuing dialogue and realizing stability in the country through a unified consensus government representing all. In briefing Wednesday to the UN Security Council, Leon said the situation in Benghazi is a cause for great concern, stressing the importance of focusing efforts to stop fighting in the city. He explained that over half of the population of Benghazi is forced to flee due to violence, which besides leading to killings it also leads to destruction and devastation of infrastructure. He said the state of divison in Libya weakened the efforts to fight ISIS which controlled Sert and began to pose a security concern not only to Libyans alone but to the whole world. =Lana=
