Canada: Signing of agreement in Skharit a decisive step towards restoration of peace and stability in Libya.

Montreal, 14.07.2015(Lana) Canada reiterated the continuation of support for Libya and its people in their efforts to build a prosperous and democratic society free from the scourge of violent extremisms and terrorism. "The agreement initialed in Skharit constitutes a decisive step towards the restoration of peace and stability in Libya, and the resumption of democratic transition process," Canadian Foreign Minister, Rob Nicholson said in a statement on Tuesday. "Only a united Libya can hope to mobilize the political, social, institutional, economic and security resources necessary to end violence, restore the rule of law, deliver essential services, rebuild institutions, address the pressing humanitarian needs and protect and defend human rights".
