NSG: Securing Borders Matter of Consultation Between Two Neighboring Countries.
Pulbished on:
Tripoli, 14 July 2015(Lana) The National Salvation Governemnt has
said that any measures regarding securing borders should be conducted
part of a discussion and consultation, and that any unilateral action
would ensure peace stability between the two countries.
The NSG called in a statement on Tunisian authorities to more
dialogue and coordination to secure the common borders.
It said was puzzled by Tunisian authorities reluctance to
coordinate with the Libyan authorities despite an appeal by Libyan
defense and security authorities to the Tunisian counterparts to
discuss security coordination.
'We understand that the Tunisian Governemnt was a victim of
terrorism including events at the university, Ban Sweiqa, Al Qasba,
and the assault of the Al Jazeera bus, and the Bardo museum and
lately the assault on the tourist resort of Sousse, the statement
said.
It said it was illogical that officials in Tunisian Governemnt
blame Libya as source of terrorism, the statement said, adding that
Libya itself was a victim of this terrorism as it lays the ground for
a democratic system that renounces all forms of terrorism.
The NSG Government called on the Tunisian media to do away with
the provocative rhetoric, in favour of a more balanced objective
message that better serve the interests of the two peoples.
It denounced statements by some Tunisian officials which accused
the Libyan people for violence acts in Tunisia before full
investigation have been conducted, saying such actions undermine the
relationship between the two closely linked peoples.
The NSG renewed call for official authorities in Tunis to set up
enquiry committees to investigate the recent events, warning against
leveling accusation without proof.
