Tripoli, 07.07.2015(Lana) National Audit Bureau (NAB) renewed
appeal to public bodies to comply with National Number when
disbursing salaries to curtail dualism and salary fraud.
NAB confirmed that May and June are ready for disbursement for
all education institutions across Libya and other bodies to follow
suit.
Head of NAB, Khaled Shakshak earlier stated that measures for
900,000 out of 1,000,500 National Numbers after activation of the
system and that applying the National Number would save 8 billion LD
from state budget.
In this context the NAB managed to retrieve 5 billion dinars into
public revenue account at Central bank of Libya after the NAB decided
to freeze and re-organize state bank accounts after the NAB noticed
that some institutions try to retain budget surpluses and not
returning them and exploiting them in contracts marred by corruption.
According to NAB website, it is expected to retrieve about 7
billion LD which could contribute to saving resources which used to
be missing and could be saved to support their commitments in the
light of state budget deficit.
