EU Renews Ban on all Libyan Airlines From European Skies.

Tripoli, 25 June 2015(Lana) The European Commission has updated
the EU Air Safety List, banning all airlines from Libya operating in
the European space, citing safety concerns.
A statement issued by the EU Commissioner for Transport Violeta
Bulc in Tripoli on Thursday, said the decision came after an update
of the EU Safety List which included 20 countries and more than 232
airlines, that had to apply EU Safety standards to be taken off the
ban.
The EU issued a decision in December 2014, banning all airlines
from Libya operation the EU space for fear that they were not up to
the EU safety standards.
The companies targeted by the ban include, the Afrikiyah, the
Libyan Airlines, Libya Air, Al Buraq, Ghadamis Air and Global
Aviation.
