Ban Ki Moon Discusses With EU Foreign Ministers Developments in Libya and EU Operation to Track Down Traffickers.

Brussels, 23 June 2015(Lana) The UN Secretary General Ban Ki Moon
met in Luxembourg on Monday the 28 EU Foreign Ministers for the first
time to discuss developments in Libya, Syria, Yemen and illegal
immigration.
The EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security
Policy Federica Mogherini said in a press conference following the
meeting the talks dealt with partnership between the EU and the UN on
major crises especially in Libya and Syria in addition to the results
of the Geneva talks on Yemen.
The talks also dealt with UN agenda after 2015, the climate
change conference in Paris and the Development and Financing
conference in Addis Ababa.
Mogherini stressed that cooperation between the EU and the UN on
the crises in Libya and Syria and the Middle East Peace Process was
the strongest, noting that the two sides also discussed migration and
the EU operation to combat traffickers in the Mediterranean.
