Al bakoush: Tunisia Considers Opening Consular Office on the Border Between the Two Countries.
Pulbished on:
Tunis, 23 June 2015(Lana) Tunisia is considering opening a
consular office on the border region with Libya to look after the
interests of Tunisians in Libya and to coordinate with diplomatic
missions of sisterly and friendly countries, Tunisian Foreign Affairs
Minister said.
Al Hadi Al Bakoush said, at a press meeting held to explain the
circumstances of the abduction of Tunisian diplomats in Tripoli and
its relationship with the issue of Walid Al Gleib, a leader of Libya
Dawn brigades, that Tunisian parties were involved in obstruction of
the release of the abducted diplomats, saying his ministry had
evidence on this.
Al Bakoush stressed that there was no connection between the
release of the diplomats and the release of Al Gleib, saying Tunisian
judicial authorities decided to release Al Geib in response to Libya
judicial request.
He reiterated Tunisia's impartial position to the ongoing
conflict in Libya and said the release of Al Gleib was not part of a
deal.
