Ministry of International Cooperation organizes workshop on national, regional, and international cooperation to stop illegal immigration.

Tripoli, 11.06.2015(Lana) Ministry of International Cooperation
organized a workshop on national, regional, and international
cooperation to stop illegal immigration, on Sunday June 14 at Bab
Al-Bahr hotel in Tripoli.
Ministry sources told Lana that the workshop would be held in
cooperation with ministries of interior, justice, social affairs and
culture and general staff of the Libyan army.
The sources added that there are many civil society
organizations, regional and international organizations would take
part in the workshop to study reality and concept of illegal
immigration and finding radical solutions to it.
It explained that International Migration Organization,
International Peace Institution for Human Rights, High Commission for
Refugees, General Secretariat for Sahel and Saharan countries, Libyan
Red Crescent, Maghreb Network for Civil Society organizations, Libyan
Organization for Preserving National Identity, Libyan National Trade
Union.
The workshop is to discuss six main themes, Concept of Illegal
Immigration, its causes and challenges, relevant local and
international laws (source and transit countries, state rights and
duties, immigrants legal rights, role of civil society organizations
and media in addressing the phenomenon, role of national and regional
and international cooperation in addressing immigration.
