5+5 Ministers of defense stress the political solution to overcome the Libyan crisis.

Tunis, 09.06.2015(Lana) 5+5 Ministers of defense of western Mediterranean stressed that the political solution to overcome the Libyan crisis, would be the only way to exit the crisis in Libya. The Tunisian Defense Minister, Farhat Hashani said after an extraordinary meeting for the defense ministers of the initiative; 'The participants in the dialogue stressed that the political solution is the only way to get out of the crisis experienced by Libya because the military solution would not be useful to any party'. Hashani added; "There is a serious and important opportunity to form a consensus and national unity government due to the UN initiative, expressing hope that Libyan rivals seize the opportunity to reach a political solution. " There are security challenges in western Mediterranean especially with the emergence of new terrorist organizations represented in the so-called "State Organization" which constitutes a real danger to Maghreb and Mediterranean basin region" he added. 5+5 initiative includes; Tunisia, Libya, Algeria, Morocco Mauritania besides five European countries; France, Spain, Italy, Portugal and Malta. =Lana=
