Cavalry festival kicks off in Tripoli.

Tripoli, 04.05.2015(Lana) Cavalry festival kicked off Thursday in
Tripoli. The theme of the festival is "Libyan popular Cavalry
gathering" in support of national reconciliation.
Over 3000 cavalries from 90 cavalry clubs took part in the event.
They are from Ghyrian, Qamata, Misalata, Qasr ben Ghashir, Greater
Tripoli, Zelitin, Misrata, Tarhuna, Qarabolli, Khoms, Tajoura, Sidi
Al-Saeh, Zawia, Beni walid, Surman, Al-Hararat, Nalut, Yefren,
Zentan, Wershefana, Ruhibat, Ejelata, Subrata, E$jdabya, besides
cavalries from the south of the country.
The opening ceremony was in a form of a nickels comprising
cavalries from various parts of the country carrying the national
flag.
The activities of the ceremony was attended by NSG Deputy
Minister of Information, Ali Taher, and a member of National
Reconciliation Sheikh Ahmed Al-Basbas, and several civil society
organizations as well large number of the public, fans of the
cavalry.
Mohamed Al-Malti, media official of the organizing committee said
the goal of the event is to unify the ranks of all cavalry clubs
across Libya and to call for dialogue.
In a statement to Lana reporter, he said the idea would be
supportive to tracks of dialogue and unify fellow Libyans from east
to west and north to the south to be a good starting point for the
agonized Libyans.
Several cavalries who were not able to make it to the festival
due to travel difficulties supported the idea which they viewed as a
step in the right direction to build Libya and project an impression
to the outside world that Libyans are capable of solving all their
differences, he added.
The festival included various shows and poems embodying
brotherhood, cohesion and harmony among the Libyans.
