An Initiative to Draft a Law Organizing Work of Civil Society Organizations in Libya.

Tripoli : 31. 5. 2015 - Lana - Activists of civil society organizations in Tripoli have launched a draft law to organize the work of civil institutions with the participation of these organizations in all Libyan cities and regions . A meeting devoted for this purpose, attended by a delegation of the initiators with head of civil society union in Zaliten in order to take the opinion of civil society institutions and make them take part in the possibility of amending Law no. (19 ) for 2001 concerning national societies . The meeting reached an agreement to present a draft law within two weeks from now and to nominate ( 3 ) persons to represent civil society institutions in the main committee which studies presented proposals to come out with the best of opinions in the proposed draft law . It is to be noted that the delegation met with civil society institutions in Misrata, while another delegation met with representatives of civil society in Msallata and Khoms with the aim of involving all civil society organizations from all Libyan cities in drafting the law . = Lana =
