Ban ki Moon : Number of Foreign Terrorist Fighters Increased by ( 70 % ) in Less Than a Year.

May . 2015 - Lana - The UN Secretary General , '' Ban Ki moon has declared that the number of foreign terrorist fighters around the world increased by about ( 70 % ) within the period between mid - 2014 and March of this year . The Secretary General added that such increase means there are more of those fighters at the front lines and they provide further expertise to terrorists and that threatens their countries of origin when they return home . There are more than ( 25000 ) foreign terrorist fighters belonging to ( 100 ) countries who travelled to Syria , Iraq, Afghanistan , Yemen and Libya, he said . = Lana =
