Demonstration Before Norwegian Parliament Demanding Recognition of Palestine.

Oslo, 28 May 2105(Lana) A demonstration was held in front of the Norwegian parliament on Wednesday to demand the legislative body recognize the state of Palestine. The non-government organizations, which called the demonstration, asserted the right of Palestinians to a state of their own, and called for an end to the Israeli occupation and crimes against the Palestinian people. Speakers at the demonstration, in which hundreds took part, said the Palestinian people have the right to live in peace in their own state, considering that at the time being there were no credible peace negotiations that the Palestinian people can pin their hope on to end the occupation. The Norwegian opposition Labour Party recently decided to recognize the independent Palestinian state, and called on the Government do likewise. Sweden, Norway's neighbor has officially recognized the state of Palestine, in a move the first by a EU member. =Lana=
