Algeria and Italy Renew Pledge to Support Political Settlement in Libya.

Algiers, 17 My 2105(Lana) The Italian Deputy Minister for Foreign
Affairs and International Cooperation Labbo Bietselli on Saturday
pledged Italy's support for a settlement of the Libyan political
crisis.
'We and Algeria are committed to settle the Libyan crisis, and
support the effort of the UN Special Envoy Bernardino Leon, Bietselli
said on the sidelines of a meeting of the Italian Algerian Follow up
Committee held in the Algerian capital.
'We work with other countries to form a national unity
government, he said.
On his part the Algerian Minister of Maghrebian and African
Affairs Abdul Gader Msahel said Algeria's and Italy's viewpoints were
identical on an expedited solution to the Libyan crisis.
Msahel indicated that a meeting would be held for Libya's
neighboring countries in Ndjamena on June 5, to be followed by a
tripartite meeting of Algeria, Egypt and Italy in Cairo on June 7.
