Italian UniCredit Bank announces restoration of relations with Libyan shareholders.

Rome, 13.05.2015(Lana) Italian UniCredit Bank announced
Wednesday restoration of relations with Libyan shareholders, after
problems due to temporary confiscation of Libyan assets in Italy.
In a statement, the bank said; " Chairman of the board and CEO
of the bank met earlier today with the governor of the Central Bank
of Libya, Sadiq Omar Al-Kabier and president of the Libyan Investment
Institution Abdurrahman Ben Yaz'.
All parties agreed on their desire and common interest to restore
cooperation relations that were severed in the past years.
The bank said documents were presented at the meeting showing
that the Central Bank of Libya and Libya Foreign Bank own jointly
2.914 per cent of UniCredit whereas Libyan Investment Institution
owned 1.25 per cent.
Italian police confiscated in 2012 assets totaling 1.1 billion
Euros saying they were owned by the Ghadaffi family at the request of
International Criminal Court, the assets included UniCredit shares.
