Al Ghuweil Calls Again on EU for Assistance and Solidarity in Tackling Illegal Immigration Across the Mediterranean.

Misrata, 11 May 2015(Lana) The Head of National Salivation Government Khalifa Al Ghuwail has again called on the European Union to assist and show solidarity in tackling the illegal immigration across the Mediterranean. The EU especially Italy are called upon to liaise with the National Salvation Government to discuss assistance to curb the tide of illegal immigration to Europe and to offer the need support to combat the illegal trade, Al Ghuweil told reporters on a visit to the coast guard in Misrata. The International Organisation of Migration of Geneva recently demanded that an international enquiry be opened into the death on April 19 of 800 illegal immigrants in the Sea as they tried to reach the northern bank of the Mediterranean. =Lana=
