Tanker Uploading Crude at Al Zweitina Terminal.
Pulbished on:
Benghazi, 10 May 2105(Lana) An oil tanker has docked at Al
Zweitina oil terminal to upload 750.000 barrels of crude, a spokesman
for the National Oil Company said.
The tanker was uploading crude at the terminal, but the flow of
crude to the reservoir was still halted, because of protests at the
field underway for a week, he said.
The terminal was operating normally, but no more crude has been
pumped into the terminal, he said, adding that they were emptying the
reservoirs at the terminal.
Protesters demanding that they be offered jobs at the Al Nafoura
oil field, have blocked the pipelines which transport between 30000
to 35000 barrels of oil to Al Zweitina terminal daily.
Al Zweitina is one of the few oil terminals still operating after
the closure of the larger terminals of Al Sidr and Ras Lanouf
following armed clashes in December.
