NOC: Instability Threatens More Oil Fields and Gas Exports to Italy.

Tripoli, 29 April 2015(Lana) Protesters closed down 'Al Erada'
gas field in the east of the country, and threatened to close down Al
Wafa oil and gas field in the west, which could cut off gas exports
to Italy, a spokesman for the National Oil Company said on Wednesday.
'Al Erada was closed down and 'Al Sahel' could be shut down as
well in two days, both produce 150000 cubic meters of gas, Mohamed Al
Hrari.
The protesters also closed down the offices of the Sirte Oil
Company at Al Breiga terminal, to push demands for jobs, he added.
The protesters were seeking to employ 2000 at the facilities,
despite the fact that the NOC has employed 20000, he said.
the halt of the Al Erada field will have cause a shortage of gas
supplies to power stations in the eastern and central regions.
Another group of protesters which belonged to Oil Installations
Guard Force threatened to close down Al Fil oil and gas field in
western Libya, demanding employment of 150 at the facility, Al Hrari
said.
He asserted that the shut of Al Wafa would halt gas exports to
Italy and the closure of oil and gas fields in the eastern region
would have a great impact on power supplies.
