Electricity Company Says Obliged to Shed Loads to preserve the National Grid.
Pulbished on:
Tripoli, 26 April 2105(Lana) The General Electricity Co. has
announced that it was obliged to re-introduce the load shedding plan
to save the grid, after increased consumption of power was recorded.
The company attributed the reasons for the load shedding to the
clashes in the western area which forced the company to disconnect
some power lines between that region and Tripoli.
The move was designed to protect the national grid, the company's
information department said, adding that it hoped that the general
public would appreciate these measures and rationalize the
consumption of power.
Some areas of the capital over the last two days were hit by
power cuts of up to 9 hours per day.
