UN says 800 Died in Mediterranean migrant boat tragedy.

United Nations, 21 April 2105(Lana) UN sources said as many as 800 have died when the migrant boat sank off the Libyan coast on way to the Italian Island of Lampedusa on Sunday. However, Italian coast guard officials earlier announced that about 700 illegal immigrants were on board of a ship in the Mediterranean, while the International Organisation of Migration has announced that an SOS message was picked to save 300 illegal immigrants near the Greek coast, who were faced with drowning in the Sea. Figures published by the organisation on Wednesday indicated that Italian authorities have rescued 5600 between 10 and 14 April, raising the total number of those rescued since the start of the year to 18000. According to the organisation at least 480 have died in the Sea over the first three months of 2015, including a number of children. =Lana=
