Al-Qasaba, 02.04.2015 (Lana) Minister of Foreign Affairs in
Tunisia, Al-Tyab Al-Bakouish underlined that his country warned the
government of eastern Libya about its rejection of using its
airspace for fighting. This was in response to the violation of
Tunisia airspace by Hafter warplanes Wednesday evening.
Bakouish said he assigned minister of state for Arab affairs to
summon the east of Libyan envoy to Tunis to warn and underscore
Tunisia's rejection of using its airspace in fighting, according to
Tunisia news agency.
The Tunisian minister explained at a press conference that the
warplane was Hafter's Mig 23 and was in mission to fight Libya Dawn
fighters on Tunisia borders. He said the warplane was not intending
to attack Tunisia and remained only few seconds before being
intercepted by a Tunisian fighter forcing it to flee.
Tunisian Ministry of Defense spokesman Lt. Col Belhassn
Al-Wassalti stated yesterday evening that Defense radars identified
unknown warplane on its way from Libyan territories to southern
eastern Tunisian borders speeding at 660 km / hours and at an
altitude of 3000 meters and has no identification symbols.
He explained that Tunisian fighters intercepted the unidentified
warplane and forced it to flee after incursion of 4 kilometers into
