Tripoli, 30.03.2015 (Lana) Electricity company confirmed that bad
weather disrupted last Friday power station west and south of Libya.
Media department said production decline led to power disruption
South and west of the country for up to four hours daily.
It pointed out that bad weather rendered generation units out of
service, especially south of Tripoli separating it from Zawia
station.
South of Tripoli station capacity is 450 megawatt and connected
to Zawia station which capacity reaches up to 1500 megawatt.
Power production last weekend peaked 4740 megawatt daily with
grid surplus of 90 megawatt daily especially with stable conditions
and end of low temperature wave that struck the country.
