Al Sukheirat, 26 March 2105(Lana) The Head of the UN Support
Mission in Libya Bernardino Leon has said that the UN Sanctions
Committee was closely following the situation in Libya.
'Those who perpetrate violence will face sanctions, and there is
a possibility of intervention by the International Criminal Court
which will take the proper measures, Leon said at a press conference
here on Wednesday.
When violence spreads, what should be done is to not halt the
dialogue, Leon said, citing the courage shown by the Tunisian
authorities, when they reopened the Bardo Museum after the terrorist
attack which killed 20 foreign tourists.
The Envoy also noted that whenever the talks make progress,
violent acts pop up.
However, he said parties were committed to carry on with the
talks despite the military escalation.
