UN, 07.03.2015(Lana) UN sanction monitors expressed concern if
the UNSC approved the request of the parliament's government to
obtain weapons, tanks and jets, which could be then transferred to
militias it supports.
Experts, who are monitoring violations of weapons sanctions
imposed on Libya since 2011 "The weapons could ultimately fall into
the hands of other militias after conflicts or if it lost control of
the weapons depots .
"Despite the threats imposed by the terrorist groups in Libya,
which forms a great challenge, the commission is concerned over the
prospect that weapons could be used in attacks on areas or facilities
under the control of opponent militias that are not terrorist
groups". Reuters said quoting monitors as saying in a letter
addressed to UNSC.
