Residents of Jalou and Oujala Demand That Their Area be Included in Domestic Flights.
Pulbished on:
Jalou, 3 March 2015(Lana) The residents of the central oases of
Jalou and Oujala have demanded that their towns be included in the
domestic flights of the Libyan And Afriqiyah airlines.
They expressed, through civil organisations, their discontent
with the disregard by the Ministry of Transport of their demands, and
called on the local council to do more, to ease their suffering as
they have to travel more than 500km to the airports of Albraq and
Tubruk in the east of the country, to get a flight.
They said the airstrip of Al Nafoura oil fields, which is just
20km from the towns, was suitable to accommodate passenger planes and
could be used as an airport.
