Misrata and Zantan Agree on Freeze of Fighting in Western Libya.

Alasbaa, 22 February 2015(Lana) The Mayor of the town of Al
Asabaa Saad Al Shartaa has said that an agreement had been struck by
the local councils of Misrata and Zantan, calling for a freeze of
fighting in the western region.
An extended a meeting sponsored by Al Asabaa Local Council was
held on Saturday, where the two sides reached an agreement to start
real procedures, to freeze fighting, remove barriers to allow
Humanitarian aid to reach the mountain region, and to exchange
prisoners, he said.
'More meeting are expected to take place, to discuss guarantees
against violation of the ceasefire, Al Shartaa said, indicating that
field commanders were expected to join the negotiations.
He said he was optimistic about the results of the meeting, and
said both sides were keen to end the fighting, and to discuss a
reconciliation plan.
