Pulbished on:
Ankara, 19 February 2015(Lana) A spokesman for the Turkish
Foreign Minister Tanju Belgitch said his country has called on
Interim Government officials to reconsider their irresponsible
positions, and refrain from making anti-Turkey hostile statements.
Speaking to reporters in Ankara on Thursday, Belgitch cited
statements by the Head of the Interim Government Abdullah Al Thini in
which he accused Turkey of intervening in Libya, and threatening to
expel Turkish companies from the country.
He said the Turkish President Racep Tayyeb Erdogan and his Envoy
to Libya Amer Allah Eshler, both warned at meetings with Libyan
officials including President of House of representatives Agila
Saleh, the Head of the Government Abdullah Al Thini and the Foreign
Minister Mohamed Al Dayeri, against making such unfounded statements,
threatening our nationals and partners and giving in to a prejudiced
campaign, waged by some circles in the region against our country.'
The Spokesman said unless this situation is reversed, his country
would take the proper measures adding 'since the outbreak of the Feb
17 Revolution, Turkey's support for the reconstruction of Libya is
evident'. He explained that the Government's statements do not
reflect a friendly and grateful position on part of the Libyan people
towards Turkey.
