Egyptian Nationals in Jalou and Oujala Say Raid on Derna Futile and Harmful to Their Interests.
Pulbished on:
Jalou, 18 February 2015(Lana) Egyptians nationals, living in the
oasis towns of Jalou and Oujala, have said that the air strikes,
carried out by the Egyptian air on the city of Derna on Tuesday,
harmed their work and spoiled their relationship with the local
population.
The Egyptian Government has not considered the situation of
Egyptian expats, and acted in line with its own policies, for this
kind of military actions has a negative impact on nationals, some
workers told Lana correspondent here.
The Oasis towns are home to thousands of Egyptian expat workers,
who send large amount of money back to their families in Egypt, and
most of them are officially registered as members of the Egyptian
Armed Forces which makes it particularly hard for them to be
accepted.
