Tripoli, 17 February 2015(Lana) Egyptian opposition figures
lambasted President Abdul Fattah Al Sisi for the murder of 21
Egyptians by the ISIS group in Libya, saying his decision to
intervene on the side of Hafter forces in the Libyan conflict
triggered the killings.
Some said they were puzzled by Cairo's dealing with this issue
and ignoring the stadium events, despite the fact that similar number
of causalities occurred at the Zamalek Enbi match.
The American CNN news channel quoted Abdul Rahman Yusuf, a
political activist as saying 'we extend condolences to all Egyptians
and indeed to ourselves for the assassination of 21 Egyptians by a
deranged group, and shame on the regime which ignored the kidnapped,
and helped make them a political pawn by its intervention in an
internal conflict.'
The prominent journalist Qutb Al Arabi said 'I utterly condemn
the killing of Egyptian Christians in Libya as I condemned the
killing of our people in Sinai before and the protesters because they
had nothing to do with the crime of supporting the coup and
authorizing the killer.'
The Justice and Freedom Party blamed Al Sisi for what happened
for what happened. 'Sisi and ISIS are two faces for the same coin, he
said.
'What happened to Egyptians in Libya is the responsibility of
Sisi and leaders of the coup, because of their support for the leader
of the coup Hafter, he added.
