Misrata, 15.02.2015 (Lana) Misrata Municipal Council condemned
breaking into government buildings in Serte by an extreme terrorist
group, using religion in disguise to realize their objectives and
terrorize the population there.
In a statement about developments in Serte Sunday, Misrata
council categorically rejected such terrorist criminal actions such
as attacks on state institutions, private properties, arbitrarily
kidnapping, murder and disappearances outside state law.
The statement urged the GNC, National Salvation Government and
military and security institutions to shoulder their responsibilities
and take necessary measures to fight these groups urgently and
provide security to the people of Serte and nearby areas.
Misrata Municipal Council underscored in its statement that it
would not allow a place for terrorism in Libya, rejecting any foreign
intervention in any form in the internal affairs of the homeland and
that dialogue is the ideal way to find solutions to all Libya's
security and political problems.
