President of Niger: Niger and Algeria Agree to Join Effort to Confront Terror Threats.

Algiers, 27 January 2015(Lana) Niger and Algeria have agreed to
join efforts to confront terror threats, President Mahamadou Issoufou
said after meeting Algerian President Adbul Aziz Bouteflika in the
Algerian capital on Monday.
'We have agreed to join ranks and operational and intelligence
capabilities to face threats and criminal organisations.'
'The two countries share a one thousand kilometers common border
and have vast spaces of desert that have to be protected, Issoufou
said, adding that the talks have also dealt with issue of common
interest particularly the situation in Libya and Mali.
