announced Monday that Libya's oil production declined to 360,000
barrels per day, which in turn to lead to declined revenues.
In a statement to Reuters, Zawi said oil revenues to decline to
10 to 12 billion dollars after declining to 15 billion dollars in
2014.
"Public revenues from crude oil decreased to 15 billion dollars
in 2014, and expected the following year to be between 10 and 12
billion dollars" he added.
He regretted shutting 16 and 18 valves at Rayayna region due to
developments in the area leading to reduced production by 350,000
barrels.
Clashes close to the oil crescent caused reduced production to
the rate of 350,000 barrels, Zawi explained.
Zawi underscored that the Government of National Salvation is
working to distance National Oil Corporation from the conflict and to
maintain neutrality by safeguarding the existing payment system
through the Tripoli based Central Bank.
The Minister added that Anwar Africa oil tanker carrying 24,000
tons of fuel enroute from Greece to Misrata port was intercepted in
the territorial waters by Hafter forces threatening to attack it
unless navigates to Tobrouk.
