Minister of Waqf and Islamic affairs denounces mocking of prophet Mohamed.

Tripoli, 22.01.2015 - (Lana) The ministry of Waqf and Islamic affairs
in the National Salvation government , had strongly denounced the '
Charlie Hepdo' newspaper and others, by publishing a mocking cartoons
of the prophet Mohamed in the last few days.
The ministry said in a statement , that this act harms more than one
billion Muslims in the world today , without regard to their feelings
, including those Muslims resided among them.
The statement said , that the call for freedom of speech is a wrong
call and not acceptable , and can't be launched to hurt others'
rights , especially in a country that calls for freedom of faith and
respecting human rights.
The statement also called on world nations to issue laws and
international norms , that criminalize mocking religions , and to
respect others' faith.
The ministry in this statement , requested Arab and Muslim rulers to
take a clear stand against this level of freedom of speech and
expression , and to work on issuing laws prohibiting aggressions on
the prophet and the Islamic holy sites.
