Audit Office Decided to Freeze Accounts of all Government Bodies.
Pulbished on:
Tripoli, 22 January 2015(Lana) The Chief of the Audit Office
'Khalid Shekshek' on Wednesday issued a decision freezing bank
accounts of all Government bodies and departments.
The decision called for a freeze on all Government agencies and
departments which are financed by the public treasury, and to
transfer all outstanding balances to the Public Revenue Account at
the Central Bank of Libya account No. '190031', as a control measure
over the state accounts, and as a result of the fall of general
revenues.
The Decision No. 23 of 2015, banned any spending authorization or
transfer of funds to public bodies before settling down of all their
bank accounts, and depositing their balances at the PRA.
As part of the control measures the Audit office earlier issued a
decision banning releasing of salaries of public servants who fail to
furnish their employers with the national number, in a bid to combat
job duplication.
Meanwhile, the Administrative Control body has urged public
organisations to withhold February salaries of personnel who fail to
fill a special form on commitment to sign in the time sheet.
