A fire erupts in Souq al-Thulata 'supermarket' in the capital Tripoli.

Tripoli, 19.01.2015 - (Lana) Today Monday morning , a fire erupted in
the commercial Souq al-Thulata 'supermarket' in the capital Tripoli ,
in which resulted in injuring four people , three of them by
suffocation , while the fourth by minor burns , and they all left the
hospital after getting treatments.
Assistant director , of Tripoli security directorate colonel 'Salah
al-Samo'e' , told the Libyan news agency - Lana - that , the fire
occurred in the ground floor where there is a takeaway restaurant ,
then the fires spread to the garbage behind the market.
Al-Samo'e added in his statement , that firefighters are trying to
control the fire which reached the upper floors of the market ,
despite difficulties at the scene , due to congestion and population
overcrowd in the area.
On the other side , eyewitnesses told - Lana - that a gas cylinder
exploded in one of the restaurants in the first floor , which
increased the fires inside the market.
Its noteworthy that , the Souq al-Thulata 'supermarket' is considered
as the biggest commercial market in the capital Tripoli , and
witnessing an enlargement and developing process in its buildings for
months ago , and includes number of shops and different restaurants.
