NSG foreign ministry issues statement on targeting ARAEVO oil tanker Tripoli, 08.

Ministry expressed profound concern over recent developments in Libya
and the targeting of Tanker ARAEVO .
In a press statement, the ministry stated that it follows up with
profound concern recent developments, as Khalifa Hafter bandits
escalated their terrorist operations, with air raids targeted
civilian institutions and facilities, besides targeting of homes and
terrorizing civilians.
The statement said targeting the oil tanker ARAEVO carrying the
Liberian flag and hired by Bariqa Marketing Company while on its way
from Bariqa port to Derna power station is a violation of
international agreements and blatant violation of international
humanitarian law.
It underlined that such terrorist acts would increase the
suffering of the Libyan people and threaten maritime in the
Mediterranean, threatenmi9ng world peace and security.
In its statement the ministry called on the UN and all peace
loving nations to move quickly and prevent such bandits from
increasing their terrorist operations, by targeting civilian
facilities and killing civilians in Libya.
The targeting of the oil tanker led to the death of two sailors
one a Greek national and another Romania, besides injuring two
others.
