Central Bank: Public revenues amounted to (136.8696) billion dinars, and expenditures amounted to (136.8) billion in 2025

Tripoli, January 19, 2026 (LANA) – The Central Bank of Libya issued its monthly statement on state revenue and expenditure today, Monday, covering the period from January 1 to December 31, 2025.
The bank stated that total state revenue reached 136.8696 billion dinars, while total public expenditure amounted to 136.8 billion dinars during the past year.
The bank explained that oil sales revenue reached 99.6 billion dinars, oil royalties revenue reached 17.2 billion dinars, tax revenue reached 2.8 billion dinars, customs revenue reached 345.5 billion dinars, telecommunications revenue reached 224.1 million dinars, and the Central Bank's profits amounted to 2.7 billion dinars. It also noted that other revenues totaled 14.0 billion dinars.
The bank explained that other revenues amounted to 12 billion dinars allocated to development projects from the foreign currency exchange fee, and revenues received from financial services oversight offices in Libyan cities for public services, including refunds, passport fees, vehicle registration fees, fines, and other fees.
The Central Bank added in its statement that public spending reached 136.8 billion dinars during the same period, noting that expenditures under Chapter One (salaries) amounted to 73.3 billion dinars, while expenditures under Chapter Two (operational expenses) reached 9.0 billion dinars, expenditures under Chapter Three (development) reached 20.0 billion dinars, and expenditures under Chapter Four (subsidies) reached 34.5 billion dinars.
The Central Bank of Libya affirmed its continued efforts to achieve the highest levels of disclosure and transparency through various available tools, with the aim of engaging all state institutions and citizens in understanding the country's economic and financial situation.
