Tripoli, August 4, 2025 (LANA) – Prime Minister of the Government of National Unity, Abdul Hamid Dbaiba, said that adopting the "Your Instant Salary" system for managing salaries is not merely a technical option, but rather a national necessity aimed at protecting public funds and ensuring fairness for real workers in state institutions.
Dbaiba explained in a post on the "X" platform on Monday that this step comes within the framework of financial reforms led by the government in cooperation between the Ministry of Finance and the Central Bank of Libya, with the aim of achieving transparency and efficiency in spending within the salary category, which constitutes approximately 55% of public spending.
The Prime Minister emphasized that the timely disbursement of salaries remains a firm commitment from which the government will not deviate under any circumstances. He noted that the new system will help address cases of salaries being disbursed to individuals who do not perform actual jobs within legal entities, at a time when thousands of actual employees are still awaiting the release of their first salaries.
He pointed out that "Your Instant Salary" will eliminate waste in salaries and provide broader opportunities for financial releases, representing a qualitative shift in controlling public spending and ending decades-old financial practices.
Concluding his statement, Dbaiba praised the efforts of the Central Bank of Libya, affirming the government's commitment to the success of this initiative. He called on legal entities to comply immediately by accurately and promptly entering their employee data. He also called on the Audit Bureau and the Administrative Control Authority to support the new system to enhance direct oversight of employment and spending.
