Tripoli, July 1, 2025 (LANA) – The President of the Audit Bureau, Khaled Shakshak, discussed today, Tuesday, with the acting Minister of Oil and Gas, Khalifa Abdul Sadiq, members of the negotiating team, and relevant departments within the Bureau, the Bureau's report on the study and evaluation of the negotiating position with the Waha partners.

The Bureau stated on its official page that the meeting reviewed the financial, legal, and technical aspects contained in the report. The Audit Bureau's observations and recommendations were also presented, aiming to enhance negotiation efficiency and ensure the best possible return on public funds.

He explained that the meeting addressed a set of recommendations that guarantee the rights of all parties, emphasizing the importance of supporting investment in the oil sector, given its pivotal role in stabilizing production rates and increasing oil revenues.
