Rome, June 25, 2025 (LANA) – The Italian Nova News Agency reported that the Libya Reconstruction Fund signed 17 memoranda of understanding with Italian companies in the energy, infrastructure, industrial vehicles, and logistics sectors today, Wednesday, in Benghazi. The signing ceremony was attended by the Italian Ambassador, the Consul General of Italy in Benghazi, and the President of the Libyan-Italian Chamber of Commerce.

The agency reported that the Italian companies signing the agreements are well-known in the Italian industrial landscape, including Iveco, a leader in the industrial vehicle and logistics sector, and Todini Costruzioni Generali.

According to Nova, the agreements cover strategic areas such as energy, water treatment, infrastructure, construction, mechanics, design, digitalization, and engineering consulting. It noted that this signing represents the first phase of a process that is scheduled to translate into operational contracts, coordinated by the Chamber of Commerce through the new headquarters that will soon open in Benghazi.
